SSAGO USW
Serving the University of South Wales at our campuses in Pontypridd (Treforest and Glyntaff), Cardiff, Newport, and the surrounding areas, helping students learn new skills and make new friends along the way.
SSAGO USW is dedicated to allowing students at the University of South Wales to learn new skills and make new friends along the way. We are open to any level of scouting/guiding experience, from those who have been involved since they were 5, to people who have no experience but want to learn more.
We also offer help and advice about volunteering opportunities with local Scout and Guide groups across Cardiff, Newport, and the South Wales Valleys. We meet every Monday at The Randy Dragon on Treforest campus at 6pm, we will also be holding a bunch of fun socials on weekends, everything from hiking and camping, to bushcraft and ice skating.
We currently have 0 active members.
Pâl (the Welsh word for Puffin) came about after lots of research and debate about a good, not-yet-used, Welsh animal to take on the role of Mascot. Wales has one of the largest Puffin numbers in the UK, especially on Skomer Island, off the coast of Pembroke. Therefore, we decided that Pâl would join our little team here at SSAGO USW, and will hopefully gain a few more little friends as time goes on.
